AL6XN stainless steel plate contains 6.3% molybdenum. 6mo plate has excellent corrosion resistance to oxidizing environments, various acids, bases, saline solutions, seawater, crevice, stress and overall general corrosion. In comparison, you will find that SS AL6XN plate is 50% stronger than ordinary stainless steel pipe. ASTM A240 UNS N08367 is stable at 1000 degree F. The high strength and corrosion resistance of ASME SA240 N08367 makes it a better choice than traditional duplex stainless steel pipe and a cost-effective alternative to more expensive nickel-based alloys.
